Some Book Recommendations from YouTube for Understanding Our World
My YouTube algorithm serves up quite a bit of videos recommending books. The one below caught my attention because the guy sharing the recommendations doesn’t fit the mold of a typical ‘booktuber.’ I enjoyed the video and am intriqued to eventually read a few of his recs. Indeed, the only one that I have already read is the Ray Dalio book. And while I’m not a fan of Kissinger (or Rudolph Hoess for that matter!), I think the book recommended in the video is probably worth the read if the goal is understanding world politics. I’m a bit surprised that none of Robert Kagan’s books, nor any of Robert Kaplan’s books, were on the list.
