The 'Cornerstone' and Lemmon v. New York
Sometimes I know I couldn’t have said it better myself. In the case of this topic, it is something I teach every year. But @Amandas-Mild-Takes pretty much nails it, much more succinctly than I tend to put it in class. That there are still such ignorant people who try to deny the primacy of slavery to the Civil War is astounding.
